Who we are and how are our products made?

PBG is a small Czech fashion studio founded on the principles of minimalism, craftsmanship and long-standing style. We produce a small series of products in our very own factory in Prague, and a close-knit group of artisans based in the Czech Republic & Italy.

Over the last 15 years we craft modern classics with the purpose to last and be loved for a years. Our products are not subject to fashion trends, you can see them in our offer for several seasons, because they simply never go out of fashion. Each new collection offers you to complement existing pieces from our previous collections. Together they form one stunning unit.

Materials

We source our highest quality materials mainly in the EU, specifically in Italy, Czech republic and Spain, only our denim is out of the EU, it is from Japan. We select them according to one common basic feature – natural origin.

VEGETABLE  TANNED LEATHER (ES)

Most of our handbags are produced from vegetable tanned leather. The tanning process is treated only with vegetable extracts from quebracho, mimosa and chestnut. Eco fast & friendly process exempt of chrome and other heavy metals. The result is sustainable friendly leather of the highest quality which is procured from the Novillo catalan breed which is bred on the Iberian peninsula. For us it is important to know the origin of each skin as the well live of the animal during its breeding on the farm.

LINEN (CZ)

The production of linen has a long tradition in the Czech republic. This natural material is produced in Šumperk. The advantage of the material is its lightness and the fact that it cools on warm days. That’s why we chose this material often for our spring/summer collections.

MERINO WOOL  (IT)

Our merino wool is a soft, comfortable shrink resistant material that comes from merino sheep. Merino wool is naturally crimped and breathable, so it traps warm air close to the skin and regulates the body temperature so that you feel chic and comfortable when the weather is frosty. Merino wool is sustainable, biodegradable, flame-resistant, hypoallergenic, and offers UV protection.

POPLIN (CZ) 

It is plain weave cotton fabric that is tightly woven and has a smooth, silky texture. Poplin fabric is known for its durability, versatility, and ability to hold dye well. Poplin fabric is also easy to care for, as it can be machine-washed and ironed. The material is made in a traditional factory in Hořice.

DENIM (JP)

Our denim yarn is composed entirely of cotton and is made in Japan. Japanese denim is considered the highest quality in the world. Shuttle looms weave the yarn very tightly, making the fabric denser and, therefore, more resistant to tearing and wear. Japanese denim is considered the most iconic and highest quality in the world.
